City releases road work schedule for the year

It’s close that time of year again, so motorists, might want to take heed of the some work planned for city road.

This spring $200 million worth of roadwork (about the same amount as last year) will begin on bridges and roads across the city. The major construction work is slated to last until September.

Projects planned in the area include:

— Bridge reconstruction on the Don Valley Parkway and Eglinton Ave. E.

— Bridge reconstruction on the Don Valley Parkway and St. Dennis Dr.

— Road reconstruction on Davenport Rd. between Yonge St. and Avenue Rd.

— Road resurfacing on the Allen expressway between Eglinton Ave. W. and Lawrence Ave. W.

Other projects planned include:

— Bridge reconstruction on the Don Valley Parkway and Queen St. E.

— Bridge reconstruction on the Allen Rd. underpass at Viewmount Ave.

— Road reconstruction on Queen St. E. from King St. E. to Carlaw Ave.

— Road reconstruction on Dupont St. from Dufferin St. to Lansdowne Ave.

— Road resurfacing on University Ave. between Dundas St. W. and Queen St. W.
