Bedford Park store fills its story box with shoppers
Paradise Comics celebrated its most important holiday on May 7: Free Comic Book Day.
Started in 2002 as an effort to promote the comic book industry, the event, celebrated on the first Saturday of May, has become a mainstay for shops across the continent. Paradise offered the crowd up to seven comic books each, promoted $1 comics and had artists on hand to draw and offer their wares.
ARTISTS’ ROW: From left, Chris Yao, Aaron Feldman and Shawn Daley were on hand for Free Comic Book Day with drawings and pens.
BONDING OVER ART: Harry, second from left, awaits for his commissioned work from artist Alex Chung, while his father looks on.
